Dow Wire & Cable Showcases Advanced Solutions at the 2010 Middle East Electricity Exhibition

  • Commemorates 12-Year Partnership with Ducab, Region’s Leading Cable Manufacturer

    Dow Wire & Cable, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, today announced that it will showcase its leading portfolio of materials and technology solutions for medium, high and extra-high voltage power cables at the 2010 Middle East Electricity Exhibition (MEEE), scheduled to be held from February 9 – 11, 2010 at the Dubai International Exhibition Center.

    Power cable manufacturers as well as transmission and distribution utilities can meet Dow Wire & Cable’s team of experts at booth #7F20 for an update on product innovations and developments.

    Dow Wire & Cable is also pleased to commemorate its successful 12-year partnership with Ducab, the Middle East’s leading provider of low,medium and high voltage cables of up to 132 kV. Ducab laid their first medium voltage TR-XLPE cable with Dow TR-XLPE products in 1998 with the inauguration of their first CCV line. This was followed by a second line inaugurated in 2002. To date, thousands of kilometers of high quality cables have been supplied by Ducab to some of the most prestigious landmark projects in the region.

    Dow and Ducab will host a joint seminar - “A Value Chain Approach to Long Lasting Cable Life Cycle” - on February 9, 2010 from 12:00 to 13:00 in Seminar Room4.2 outside Hall 4. Dow and Ducab will share their insights on the elevating standards of cable manufacturing and material selection to help produce cables with enhanced longevity, reliability and lower lifetime system cost.
